Sunday School Veteran

Today, London had her baby dedication at our church. It was so amazing to have our church pledge to care for and encourage her and Scott and I to publicly pledge to the our family, the church, and especially the Lord to teach her in the way she should go through the guidance and wisdom of God. London's grandparents came into town to be apart of it. She was so good through the whole thing. She didn't make a peep. We couldn't take pictures, but as soon as I have the video, I will post it.

This got me thinking that I have pictures of London's first and second visits to Sunday School. So she is a pro now. Whenever a baby attends Sunday School for the first time, they are placed in an old brass baby bed in front of a window so members of the church can come see her. The photo is really grainy, but you can see that she is in the bed. London does really good at church, which makes her parents so proud, and I am sure her teachers so happy. I hope London learns to love our church and want to get involved, as I did with my home church in Amarillo. Most importantly, I want London to love the Lord, which is the prayer of her parents' hearts.

I know that brass bed very well! That is the church that I grew up loving and spending the first 20 years of my life in, so I pray that London will love it just the same. My mom was visiting me that Sunday, and now she's probably going to wish she had stayed to see London's dedication. She is SO cute & stylish!
