The First is Behind Us

This morning, I took London to get her 2 month shots. I have been nervous about this appointment since I made it, having listened to the many horrid tales of how awful it is. So, I tried to prepare myself for what I thought would be an unforgettable experience (in a bad way). Well, mommy didn't cry like I thought I would, but London let out a scream as I have never heard. Who could blame her? The size of the two needles they used were enormous. You would think they would go straight through her leg! The blood curdling screams and cries lasted about 5 minutes. OK, it was probably more like 2 minutes, but it seemed much longer. The doctor told me to expect a fever, a very tired baby and that she wouldn't eat much. Well, right when we got home, she started smiling and cooing and playing on her musical gym. I am not naive enough to think this will be continuing much longer, but who knows. Well, the 2 month shots are now behind us and mommy and London couldn't be happier.

so glad it's over for you. i thought i might tear up. i consider myself a sensitive heart. but i always seem to laugh a little as he is screaming. teh scream/crying is only about 10 seconds and then he i over it. Holden's 6 month, was the first time i was there alone and had to help hold him down. not so much fun. hopefully she will continue to be her happy self for you!
